MEGADETH Drummer: 'I Am Enjoying Watching The Paint Dry On My Walls'

October 9, 2007

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's web site:

"I am safely home now and 'trying' to go from 1,483,092,387 miles an hour on tour to 0, which for me takes a few days, but I am almost there on that. It is certainly nice to be home relaxing with my wife, kids and animals, but next Friday it's right back out there to the Pacific Rim segment of this current world tour of duty. For now though, I am enjoying watching the paint dry on my walls.

"Today I am off to the post office to send the first 12 pair (of 22 total pairs used on the U.S. tour) of my limited custom MEGADETH/Shawn Drover drumsticks I informed you about in a previous post. Each pair are signed, dated, etc. so you will know which show they were used, so keep your eye out for these on the MEGADETH eBay site — I do hope you dig them.

"As well, thanks to those of you who are calling me on my SayNow cell # [(678) 999-2215], as I believe it is a great way for direct communication between band/fan, and the daily on tour (and now off-tour) ramblings of my daily search for new autobiographies and good coffee-houses."

YeboTV.com will rebroadcast MEGADETH's September 22, 2007 performance from the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, October 11. "Because we had 91 countries log in to the webcast on the 22nd, we want to make sure we can hit all time zones this time," reads a posting on MEGADETH's web site. "When you register for the rebroadcast the page shows all the international time zones for the stream. It will be streamed five times during the day. Register or log in at YeboTVhere."

As previously reported, MEGADETH's "Warchest" 4-CD+DVD collection has had its release date pushed back to October 9 from the previously announced October 2. No reason was given for the delay.
